Changing an image name will not effect the way an image can be used.
- First: Click the Edit Image Properties link if you are not already there.
- Second: Select the folder that you want to browse and then any image you want to edit.
- Finally: Set the name and description from the bottom-right and click Save

Step 3: Before moving on you might want to organize your images to make them easier to find.
- First: Click the Manage Folders and Files link if you are not already there.
- Folders: You can use the top portion to create new folders or rename them.
A folder name must be unique and certain names are reserved like system and temp.
- Folders: You can also delete folders but they must be empty. You cannot delete the
general or icons folder.
- Files: To delete files you can select one or more files (using CTRL) and click the
Delete button.
- Files: To move files from one folder to another select one or more files (using CTRL) and
select a Destination Folder. After choosing a folder click the Move button.
If you delete or move any images you should check your page to see if those images were used anywhere.
If that is the case you will need to re-target the images.
|
|
Make sure to select a folder before renaming or deleting.
You can select more than one file to delete or move (use CTRL).

Detailed Guide: Songs
When you upload songs to your account you will have to specify the song data.
This information can also be changed later. Additionally once we are through Beta testing you will be able monitor the number of
plays as well as user ratings of your songs.
On HitEmHi the only songs you should upload should be one's that you have
performed and/or have the authority to agree to broadcasting.
|
Step 1: To access the song management page, first click the
Media Management button on the left side of the User Settings page and then from the dropdown menu click Music Manager.
|
|
Step 2: To upload a song click the Upload button from the bottom-right of the screen. On the first page you are asked to set the song information:
- Song Title: Enter the title. As per the user agreement if you
are uploading a cover song you must specify accurately the song’s title and author as it appears on the sheet music.
- Genre: Pick the most appropriate genre for the song, considering how an end user might search for the track.
- Type: Select the song type, only select original if the song is a recording of an original song composed by
you or your band or if the title to the song is owned by you.
- Image: Pick a song image from your user folder. If you do not have an appropriate image you can always select it at a later time.
- Then: Click the Next button when you are ready to proceed.
- Selecting song: Use the Select button to browse your computer for the song to upload.
The song should be in an Mp3 file format and less than 10Mb in size.
- Finally: Finally click Upload when you are done.
You will have to wait for about 30-60 seconds for the song to upload.
|
Once you've entered the name and description make sure to click Save.
|
|
Step 3: After you have uploaded songs you can still change most of their data or delete them from
the song manager main page.
- Editing a song: Click the Edit button next to a song to change it’s data. The edit page is exactly like the upload page.
- Deleting a song: You can use the Delete button to delete a song from the active song list, and it will move to the recycle bin. You must have room in your bin to be able to delete a song. Songs in your recycle bin will not be accessible by other users.
- Recovering a song: If you change your mind, you can click the Restore button to move the song back to the active song list. Again you must have room to add the song back.
- Note: If you delete a song from the recycle bin you will not be able to recover it.
|
|
Use the Edit or Delete buttons for each song, found on the right side.
Use the restore to move the file back to active and delete to permanently delete.

My track won't play why? Sometimes files can get corrupted especially from file transfers. Since Mp3's are a binary file they can be
corrupt but still playable in some players but not in others. This can happen when you are uploading to our site but its more likely that it happened if
you downloaded your Mp3 from somewhere like another webpage. There are two solutions you can try:
- Upload the file again but try to use a different version of the file. Especially if you have a master copy of the file.
- You can also try to re-encode the file. If you have the song on a CD this would mean trying to rip it again. Otherwise a
solution that is a little more work but generally works would be to use some music editing software to export the file to a .wav format and
then open the .wav format and export it back to .mp3. Audacity is an excellent free sound editor
(click here). From the same site you would also want to download
the LAME Mp3 Encoder.
